Q&A: What coaches would the British Rail Standard Class 6 “Clan Class” locomotives have hauled?
Question by Sonicwave: What coaches would the British Rail Standard Class 6 “Clan Class” locomotives have hauled?
I’m thinking about picking up Hornby’s “Clan Buchanan” model. Just wondering, what type of coaches would these locomotives have hauled when they were in service in the 50s/60s, and do Hornby make models of these coaches?
Thanks.

Mark I BR coaches in ‘plum and custard’ or maroon livery. Also coaches from the pre-nationalisation railways (probably mainly from the LMSR and LNER as these locos were for use in Scotland) which were in use, certainly in the 1950s.
