Sad but true; the modeling industry is full of scam artists who want nothing better than to steal your money and more. You can’t afford to take chances with just any baby modeling agency. You need to find top modeling agencies that are upright and reputable to help you land that baby modeling job for your little angel. But, just how do you find these top modeling agencies for your baby? The ads you looked at seemed so genuine and offered so many guarantees. How could those ads be a scam?

What you have to remember is that top model agencies for babies don’t need to advertise. All genuine baby modeling agencies build their companies on a reputation of trust and reliability. Reputable baby modeling agencies would, most probably, be on several advertisers’ lists. Meaning, when companies or advertisers need a baby model, they’ll, simply, look in their list of top modeling agencies and call. So, if you need to find top model agencies for your baby, the best resources would be the advertisers themselves. If you ask them, they can probably refer some good baby modeling agencies to you.

Another thing you should look out for is if the baby modeling agency you are thinking of hiring asks for “up-front” fees. They may disguise these fees as baby modeling classes or payment for photographs, etcetera. Good baby modeling agencies don’t ask for money. Rather, they only charge you a commission for jobs they’ve booked for your baby. Don’t fall prey to the sales pitches other seeming top model agencies offer; no matter how convincing they sound.

Finally, if you still aren’t sure about the reputation of the baby modeling agencies you’ve found, you could try calling the Better Business Bureau, and request for a report on that baby modeling agency.

In the end, taking the necessary steps to ensure that you find reputable baby modeling agencies or top modeling agencies for you and your baby, will be very beneficial for you. Now, isn’t that a better story to tell your baby when he/she grows up?

Question by Confused: Legitimate Acting AGENCIES?
I’m 17 years old, a senior in high school and I know this sounds so cliche, but I would LOVE to become an Actress. I love movies and I love to act. I’m going to go to Columbia University when I graduate to pursue my career in screen writing. But what I’d really love to do is act. Any suggestions or references for legitimate acting agencies? I don’t want to get scammed so please don’t refer me to “John Casablancas”, “Barbizon” or “John Robert Powers”.

A “legitimate” Agency will not ask for a hefty fee up front. It will be a small fee with a percentage of every job they get you, going to that Agency.

Also beware of an AGency that want you to use their photographer for head shots. Find your own photographer, by thoroughly investigating, and they also will be reasonable in the amount they charge you.

You will have to have to have a head shot to enter any Agency door, so that should be the first thing you should do.

Thoroughly investigate every detail. This includes making sure there is a contract, with no hidden costs. If they do not ask for a contract, that spells trouble also.

Why do they have to deceive people and FORCE and THREATEN girls who DONT WANT TO BECOME PROSTITUTES to become prostitutes when they can just claim to be an escort company or something like that and find girls who WANT to sell their bodies?

Doesn’t necessarily have to be fake, there may be some employees or even managers involved whom have their own interests in perpetrating this abuse.

In which case it is a problem that the company might not necessarily be able to deal with.
